The NOSCALE is a cost effective alternative to a conventional water softener and after being on sale in the States for some time now, it’s finally available in the UK. It requires no salt, no maintenance and doesn’t need regenerating.

A standard unit will last up to 5 - 10 years and because it doesn’t add sodium to the water like a softener does, it produces water that is suitable for ALL age groups.

How does the NoScale® function / work?  You did ask!

 

Hard water is water that has a high mineral content, mainly with charged dissolved magnesium (Mg2+) and calcium (Ca2+) carbonate (temporary hardness). NoScale® is a catalyst media which transforms the dissolved Mg2+ and Ca2+ carbonate into non-charged neutral chemical bonds (calcite crystals). When the crystals reach a size in the range of nanometer (microscopic) they detach and are carried away by the water flow. The crystals are heat resistant and do not revert to a dissolved state.
